UK Drugs Clinical Network

A peer to peer support network for clinical professionals who provide care to people who use drugs. Currently hosted by Release, the national centre of expertise on drugs and drug law.

MISSION

At UKDCN, our mission is to promote a world where people who use drugs can access high quality health care.

WHY WE CAME ABOUT

In 2023, a small group of us met at the RCGP's 'Managing Drug and Alcohol Problems' Conference after attending a workshop on common cases where drug treatment services let patients down. We know that these patients, like the majority of people we see, have multiple mental and physical health needs that required more bespoke treatment than what the drug sector had equipped professionals to deal with at current.

WHAT WE DO

We are a collective self-help group of clinicians who care for people who use drugs and share knowledge and case studies in order to promote best practice in our sector.
